Cashiers at all 4 Adams Fairacre Farms Stores in Wappingers Falls, Poughkeepsie, Newburgh and Kingston will be decked out in special pink t-shirts for October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation.Adams Fairacre Farms Pin Up program raises $10,000+ for Miles of Hope

Every year, Adams runs a pin up program to honor Miles of Hope.
“This year was our most successful year ever for the Pin Up programs,” explained Jenn Noll. “All of the cashiers got very competitive with each other and Miles of Hope is the beneficiary!”
“We are indebted to all 4 Adams locations for their dedication to the cause of breast cancer awareness,” said Pari Forood. “The donations from this program will go to support services for people affected by breast cancer in the 8 counties of the Hudson Valley.”
“Pin up program” at Adams Adams Fairacre Farms raises funds for Miles Of Hope
The Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation received a donation from all three Adams Fairacre Farms stores from a pin up program the stores ran in September and October.
Poughkeepsie, Newburgh and Kingston Adams Fairacres Farms donated $6400 to Miles of Hope from donations made while customers were checking out with their groceries.

“Adams has been running this program for us for a couple of years each September and October,” explained Pari Forood, Miles of Hope Executive Director.
“This year, through the extraordinary efforts of Jen Noll and her team of cashiers, they were able to increase their donation considerably from last year’s $4200 donation. We are very grateful to everyone at Adams who helped us to raise this money in September and October, Breast Cancer Awareness month,” she said.
Jen Noll, Adams Human Resources Asst Director, explained that AT&T donated a smart phone as an incentive for the cashiers. “When the cashiers saw the prize for the cashier who encouraged the most donations, they really stepped it up,” she said.
“We can’t wait to add Wappingers (the new Adams location due to open shortly) to the mix next year and increase our donation to Miles of Hope,” she said.
“Adams Fairacre Farms has been generous to us since our inception,” explained Cathy Varunok, Miles of Hope co-Founder. “They donate food to Goals for Hope in August and help us with other events as well. We are indebted to them for their support throughout the years.”
Adams Raises over $5000 for Miles of Hope in Pin Up Program
Adams Fairacre Farms has raised $5314.35 in a pin-up program conducted during September and half of October to benefit the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In order to encourage cashiers to promote the program, the organizers offered a prize to the cashier who brought in the most donations. A pin-up program in a grocery store is conducted by offering customers a chance to donate to a charity during the check out process. Their donation is recorded and placed on the window of the store.
Adams Fairacre Farms has been supporting Miles of Hope since the foundation’s inception.
“Many of our volunteers work at Adams and we receive very generous donations of food for our various events,” Pari Forood, Executive Director of Miles of Hope said. “We have conducted programs with all 3 locations, Newburgh, Kingston, and Poughkeepsie and the people we work with from the Adams family to individual employees have all been very supportive and diligent to our cause,” she added. Adams Fairacre Farms Raises $2400 for Miles of Hope

The pin up program allowed customers to make a donation to breast cancer support programs funded by Miles of Hope in the 8 counties of the Hudson Valley. Adams also accepts donations to Miles of Hope in their Gift shop; for a $40 donation to the foundation, a donor receives a crystal beaded bracelet.
