John Jay Softball Honors Miles of Hope

Bonnie Muller’s daughter, Ally Muller, is the pitcher on the John Jay softball team.
“Every year, the girls decide to raise money for a local charity that means something to them,” she explained.
“For the past few years it was Miles of Hope because of all they do for people affected by breast cancer here in the Hudson Valley.” As a team parent, Mrs. Muller helped to organize fund raising efforts with the soft ball team.

Coaches, Mike Crocco and Ken Schaeffer, fully supported the teams fund raising efforts through bake sales, 50/50 raffles, and t-shirt sales. “Goal Evolution Athletic Supply in Hopewell Junction donated a portion of their t-shirt proceeds to this donation,” explained Coach Crocco.

“I hugged every girl on the team (2nd photo) to thank them for this wonderful donation,” explained Ms. Forood.
“Every one of them knew someone, whether it was a relative or a teacher or a friend’s parent or grandparent, with breast cancer. They know that their hard work will directly help people with breast cancer right here in their community.”
