Beacon Girls softball raises the bar for Miles of Hope

The Beacon Girls Softball and Beacon XTreme Travel Softball teams donated all funds raised at the September Fall Classic Tournament to the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation and presented a check at the Hits for Hope Softball Tournament this past weekend.

Beacon Girls Softball is a program run by the city’s Recreation Department for 35 years.  Beacon XTreme is the travel Softball team started 15 years with 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U, and 18 Over divisions.

Coach Paul Correa said: “We have held the September Fall Classic for the last 6 years donating all proceeds to local families or people in need. This year we voted to donate the money to Miles of Hope because they help so many people in our area.”
