Car Meet Raises $5500 for Local Breast Cancer Programs

Andrew Flynn lost his mother to breast cancer when he was in high school. He combines his love for cars with his memories of his mother and organizes the Lake Effect Car Meet every year to raise money for the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation.
At the James Baird State Park, 200 cars jammed the parking lot to talk, compare vehicles and network about parts, bikes, trucks, and all things motorized.
“Andrew does this all on his own,” explained Miles of Hope Executive Director, Pari Forood. “He organizes the event, publicizes it on his popular fb page https://www.facebook.com/groups/LakeEffectCarMeet/ and raises money for us so that we can help people affected by breast cancer in our Hudson Valley.”
Miles of Hope, a 13 year old public charity based in Dutchess County, funds support services and outreach for people affected by breast cancer within the 8 counties of the Hudson Valley.
