Adams Raises over $5000 for Miles of Hope in Pin Up Program
Adams Fairacre Farms has raised $5314.35 in a pin-up program conducted during September and half of October to benefit the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In order to encourage cashiers to promote the program, the organizers offered a prize to the cashier who brought in the most donations. A pin-up program in a grocery store is conducted by offering customers a chance to donate to a charity during the check out process. Their donation is recorded and placed on the window of the store.
Adams Fairacre Farms has been supporting Miles of Hope since the foundation’s inception.
“Many of our volunteers work at Adams and we receive very generous donations of food for our various events,” Pari Forood, Executive Director of Miles of Hope said. “We have conducted programs with all 3 locations, Newburgh, Kingston, and Poughkeepsie and the people we work with from the Adams family to individual employees have all been very supportive and diligent to our cause,” she added.
