Poughkeepsie South Rotary Donates $5000 to Miles of Hope
In a generous gesture from the Poughkeepsie South Rotary in Dutchess County, $5000 was donated to the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation.
Mike Mullaney, Rotarian and Hudson Cadillac, GMC, Buick owner said: “We were able to raise this money at the car show in March at the Civic Center and through donations from our members. It is an honor and a pleasure to present it to Miles of Hope for all of the good work they do in our community as the only breast cancer foundation in our region.”
Pari Forood, ED of Miles of Hope said: “Mike is on our executive committee of our board of directors and one of our greatest assets! He turned the Hudson GMC courtesy car into a Miles of Hope vehicle and named it in memory of his sister, Dottie, who died of breast cancer. Every year he organizes the car show as a fundraiser for a local charity, and we are honored to be this year’s recipient. Thank you, Eric Krakower, President of the Poughkeepsie South Rotary, and all of the members of this Rotary for this donation that will help us to fund the programs which help those affected by breast cancer in the eight counties of the Hudson Valley.”
