The Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) public charity established in 2004.
The mission of the Foundation is to provide funding to non-profit organizations for support services and outreach for people affected by breast cancer in the Hudson Valley, New York (Columbia, Dutchess, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Ulster and Greene counties).

Gear Up for Goals for Hope August 7

 Goals for Hope is a women's charity soccer tournament with a goal to
raise money for the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation. There are
competitive and non-competitive divisions. The 7th Annual Goals for Hope Women's Soccer Tournament will take place on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the LaGrange Soccer Complex on Stringham Road.
During the tournament, we will be celebrating survival, while also honoring the memory of our dear friend and Goals for Hope committee member, Margaret DeSa.
Attention SURVIVORS: How have you been
affected by Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation (including any or all of our
events)? A written testimonial is what we are asking for, and if anyone needs
help expressing herself, Rihana is willing to assist! All information
should be sent to Rihana at rihana@ravdesigninc.com.
This written affirmation will be printed in our Goals for Hope booklets to
help with this year's mission to Celebrate Survival!
This day is designed to be a friendly competition, emphasizing the
benefits of exercise to all women and the importance of helping those
who need assistance. The Goals for Hope
Women's Soccer Tournament is not
about winning or losing, but about participating and recognizing
that
we can be proactive about our health, while supporting our community.
 There will be a concession stand with lunch, drinks and snack items throughout the day. Many wonderful items will
be raffled off during the day. Musical entertainment will be provided by
two talented local bands, Stark Raven and The Krisis Band! The Center
for Physical Therapy will be present to attend to the players' needs.
Come cheer on the teams at this incredible fundraiser for Miles of Hope.

Volunteer Network Workshops
Would you like to represent Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation at functions in your neighborhood?
We will be holding Volunteer Network Workshops in July.
From time to time, we need to call upon one of
our volunteers to help represent us. Are you interested in representing
Miles of Hope at an event or function in your neighborhood? If so, please
consider attending a Volunteer Network Workshop at Goals for Hope on Saturday August 7, at the LaGrange
Soccer Fields. This session will begin at 11 AM and will last no more than 30
minutes. Children are welcome.

Hopewell Triathlon June 27
Individuals and Relays Welcome!
 Eastern Sports Promotions, Bikeway and the Town of East Fishkill
Recreation Department present the Hopewell Triathlon on Sunday, June 27,
2010.
This will be a sprint triathlon: 500 yard swim, 9 mile bike ride, 3
mile run.
A portion of the proceeds will go to the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer
Foundation.
Fees: Until June 13 - Individual $70, Relay $90. After June 13 - Individual
$80, Relay $100. This is a USAT
sanctioned event. An additional fee of $10 is required if you do not
have a USAT license.

Gallery Salon Breast Cancer Event July 18
Brunch, Silent Auction, Speaker on New Breast Cancer Treatments
Gallery Salon in Poughkeepsie will host a special event on July 18 in support of Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation.
Enjoy a delicious light brunch and silent
auction, with a special guest speaker. The talk will be about new breast cancer treatments, and include a Question and Answer period.
