Somers Touchdown Club “Pink Out” Game and Socks for Hope

somers socksIn recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Somers Touchdown Club would like to invite the community to attend Varsity Football’s “Pink Out” on October 2, 2015. The football game starts at 7 pm and will honor the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation.

They will be selling custom-made “Stomp Out Cancer” Yankee candles and Tusker Pink Out totes. A Pink Out boot will make its way through the stands for donations. Also, pink ribbon Somers socks will be for sale (pictured).

All proceeds will be donated to Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation, a non-profit foundation whose mission is to fund support and outreach programs for people affected by breast cancer within the Hudson Valley.

Please join us to cheer on the Somers Football team, and make sure you wear pink to show your support!

Senator Serino Announces $20K for Local Breast Cancer Programs

sue serinoNew York State Senator Sue Serino announced a $20,000 grant to the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation, a regional charity which funds support services for people affected by breast cancer within the eight counties of the Hudson Valley.
 
“After 11 years, Miles of Hope has given away over $1.2 million to programs and outreach and education helping all of our neighbors, family and friends affected by breast cancer. I am especially proud to announce that I was able to secure $20,000 for Miles of Hope for their Medical Gap Care program providing financial assistance to people in treatment for breast cancer in Dutchess and Putnam Counties,” said Serino. Honoree Named for Hudson Valley Breast Cancer Walk

mary bonuraThe 13th Annual Hudson Valley Community Walk for Breast Cancer will take place at James Baird State Park in Pleasant Valley, NY on October 4, 2015, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Hundreds are expected to join breast cancer survivors, their families and friends to honor and remember all those affected by the disease in the Hudson Valley. The Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation, which organizes the event, is a regional charity with a mission to fund support services and outreach for people affected by breast cancer within the eight counties of the Hudson Valley, NY. Marist Football Halloween Game Supports Miles of Hope

marist-footballMarist Football will host a Halloween Trick-Or-Treat and Breast Cancer Awareness Day at their game against Butler at 12 noon on Friday, October 31st. The event will take place at Tenney Stadium on the Marist College campus, 3399 North Road in Poughkeepsie.

Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation will have a table at the event.
