“Community Friends” presents their Fourth Annual Craft Show to benefit Miles of Hope on Thursday, October 27, 2011, 3pm-9pm, at the Knights of Columbus Lodge in Wappingers Falls, NY (next to the bicycle shop) [map].
Over 30 creative handcraft vendors and very talented artisans will be participating by offering very unique quality merchandise to purchase for Holiday gift-giving needs.

Engagement for Murder, a comical, interactive murder mystery, will be presented at a benefit event for Danielle Thurston, who is fighting stage 4 breast cancer, and whose medication copays are above her ability to pay. Along with the performance there will be desserts, 50/50 raffle, prizes, and a silent auction.
The event takes place on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 7pm at the Presbyterian Church of Pleasant Valley,1576 Main Street (Rte 44), Pleasant Valley, NY [map].

October 27, 2011 – Silhouette of a Woman Fashion Show benefiting Miles of Hope at the Bardavon 1869 Opera House in Poughkeepsie, NY. [directions]
Advance online ticket sales have ended, but you can still buy a ticket at participating stores or at the Bardavon on the night. Tickets are just $25 per person ($30 at the door), and all proceeds from ticket sales go to Miles of Hope. Ticket price includes fashion show, gift bag and door prizes.
The show will include children’s, maternity, evening and mature clothing as well as latest trends.

The Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce will honor Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation and the American Cancer Society in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month on the evening of Tuesday, October 4th 2011 by lighting the Mid-Hudson (Poughkeepsie / Highland) Bridge during their After Hours membership cocktail party at River Station Restaurant.
