John Jay High School is saluting the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation on Friday night, 1/22. The girls basketball game is at 7 p.m. at John Jay high school and proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the local foundation. Visit the John Jay High School website for more information.

These signs on route 52 in Wappingers Falls were a welcome surprise to Miles of Hope co-founder, Cathy Varunok:

“This was unexpected and therefore even more impressive. Local high schools have embraced our cause and will honor us throughout January and February,” she said, “culminating in our Hoops for Hope Women’s Basketball Tournament on March 14, at Marist College.”

On Friday, 2/12, the Marist College WBCA Pink Zone presented by DRA Imaging game will honor Miles of Hope with raffles, a silent auction, and a 50/50. “Plus, Dana Effron, Miles of Hope Co-Founder, will be the Guest Coach for the game,” stated Executive Director Pari Forood.
