Edward Kowalski, chef and owner of Crave Restaurant (129 Washington Street, Poughkeepsie) and Lola’s Cafe (131 Washington St.) has donated over $800 from promotions run during October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“We wanted to give back to all of our customers and patrons who are affected by this disease,” explained Chef Kowalski.

“Crave catered my wedding,” Mrs. Ross explained, “and 3 weeks later, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Ever since that moment, Ed has been a big supporter of mine. When he realized that Crave and Lola’s wanted to honor me and all those affected by breast cancer in the Hudson Valley, I told him about Miles of Hope. He was very impressed that Miles of Hope is right here in the Hudson Valley and that all of his donation will go to help people in our area,” Mrs. Ross said.
